The village of Husbands Bosworth is fortunate is having three community venues.

 

TURVILLE MEMORIAL HALL

Located on the crossroads of the A5199 Welford Road and the A4304 Kilworth Road in the centre of the village the Turville Memorial Hall, which was opened in 1895, is the main community venue - the Village Hall. The Hall is divided into two hiring venues. The Main Hall has a polished wood floor suitable for dancing up to ballroom standard. A full-sized badminton court is marked out. A raised stage area, approximately 7m wide by 5m deep is situated at one end of the hall. Seated capacity is 80 persons. A smaller Committee Room is situated adjacent to, and can be hired separately or used in conjunction with, the Main Hall via a connecting door. A servery from the kitchen area opens onto the Committee Room. Folding trestle tables, card tables and comfortable chairs are available.

CHURCH HALL

The Church Hall was built by the village in 1969 with the proceeds of a bequest from the Misses Marsh, members of whose family had been Churchwardens at All Saints Parish Church for over 100 years. The Hall is situated in the centre of the village, behind the church, and is accessed off Honeypot Lane. Limited car parking is available on site. Foot access is also possible through the churchyard itself. The Hall has a polished wooden floor, with a floor space of approximately 12m square. Seating capacity is approximately 80 people. Folding trestle tables, card tables and comfortable chairs are available. A fully equipt servery opens directly onto the main hall.

SPORTS PAVILION

The Sports Pavilion was built as a Village Millennium Project by public subscription and with the benefit of grants from Biffaward Landfill Tax Credits and the Leicestershire County Council Shire Grant Scheme. The facility was opened in 2003. Ample car parking is provided at the site, which is off the A4304 Kilworth Road, on the edge of the village. A servery from the kitchen opens directly onto the meeting room, which has a carpeted floor. The meeting room has French doors, which open onto a raised verandha area. Seating capacity is 40 people. Ten tables and 40 comfortable chairs are available.

Sports facilities at the Pavilion include Male and Female Changing Rooms with showers, and a separate referee's changing room and shower unit. An external wheelchair-accessible toilet is provided with direct access by key from the verandha. The sports facilities can be hired without the meeting room or servery, if required. Hirers are reminded that soiled footwear must be removed before entering the Pavilion.

Current hire rates: £35 Per half day (6hrs.) a.m. or p.m. period......payable in full on booking.

Please note: For those using the changing room/shower facilities an additional sliding-scale supplement is payable on booking. (up to a maximum of £35) Hire of the Pavilion may include the use of the playing field, subject to conditions. Please call for details.
